Al Smith began his law enforcement career in 1978 with the Polk County Florida Sheriff's Office. He served as a patrol deputy, criminal investigator assigned to investigate crimes against property, white collar crimes and crimes against persons, and as an undercover agent in the Intelligence Unit.
For 10 years, he taught police recruits and in-service officers at the Polk Community College Police Academy in areas including technical report writing, crimes against persons, crimes against property, intelligence gathering techniques and sources of information.
In 1989 he formed an investigative agency specializing in criminal defense and information retrieval. He has been appointed by judges in the 10th Judicial Circuit on dozens of occasions to assist defense counsel in the investigation of major crimes, including murder, robbery, kidnapping and sexual battery.
Al earned his AS in Police Science, from Polk Community College in 1977, and attended the Baccalaureate program at St. Leo College in 1978.
A. Wayne Tucci has been an investigator for more than three decades. For 28 years, he served as a federal law enforcement officer with the U.S Department of the Treasury, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) where he specialized in the investigation of violations of firearms, explosives and arson laws.
Wayne had assignments to the Macon, GA, Washington, DC, Miami, FL, and Tampa FL field offices. As the supervisor of the Washington office, he supervised and coordinated the Arson Task Force for the DC area.
He has conducted investigations into major firearms smuggling cases, including one that resulted in the longest surveillance ever conducted by the ATF – a surveillance that led agents from Miami, Florida to Montreal, Canada.
He formerly worked as a Regional Security Officer for AmSouth Bank conducting robbery and fraud investigations.
Wayne earned his BA degree from Purdue University in 1961.
